We know you have questions. We've tried to cover the most popular ones below. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
The campground is open from May-October, seven days a week. The office is open in the off season for reservations.
While we do accept walk ins, making a reservation in advance is always a good idea whenever possible. We typically sell out completely on weekends, so a reservation ensures that we will have the accommodations you are looking for.

Yes. We are a pet-friendly campground and welcome you to bring your dog.
Dogs must be on leash, cleaned up after and attended to at all times. Excessive noise or aggression will be grounds for immediate expulsion.
The campground offers many opportunities for fun and exploration. We have a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits and hiking trails. (Horse shoes and volleyball are available for check out at the Camp Store.) Guests are welcome to swim and fish anywhere within the park. We have two playgrounds for our younger guests.
We recommend that all guests take food/snacks and beverages with them, as there are no snack bars along the river and most trips last several hours. Sunblock, hat, cheap sunglasses (in case they get lost in the river), and any emergency/rescue medications (inhalers, EpiPens, etc) should go with you as well. Many guests enjoy having music and water guns on the trip as well.
No. The Rifle River averages around knee deep. There are very few pockets of deep water (5-6') and most are no longer than the length of a canoe. We have life jackets available to all guests at no additional charge. Just ask your bus driver for one before you board.
Yes! We have found that dogs often times enjoy the river trips just as much as their humans. Please let the office know ahead that a dog will be going on the trip with you so we can make sure you have a cooler tube for them to comfortably float on.
Yes, alcohol is allowed on the river. However, there are a couple restrictions. Glass containers as well as styrofoam coolers are prohibited by the Michigan DNR. We ask that guests keep their alcohol limited to one 6-pack (or equivalent) per person.
Our Amish built cabins feature a set of full size Amish made bunk beds, a futon that folds out into a full, table with four chairs, small microwave, minifridge, and ceiling fan. Outside of each cabin there is porch seating, a picnic table, fire pit and water spigot for your convenience.
